Since 1972, NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts has led the way in advancing reproductive freedom for women and families in the Commonwealth.

 

Our mission is to develop and sustain a grassroots constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children and choosing safe, legal, accessible abortion.

 

NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts is proud to be the political leader of the pro-choice movement here in the Commonwealth. We are a state affiliate of NARAL Pro-Choice America.

 

We help to make the pro-choice voice heard by mobilizing the pro-choice majority to vote. With the right to choose under attack at the federal level, we need more elected officials here who will stand up and safeguard a woman’s ability to make personal, private decisions about pregnancy and childbearing.

 

We also work to build an active base of supporters who advocate for pro-choice policies on Beacon Hill and beyond.

 

With more than 20,000 members across the state, we work together to protect privacy, promote reproductive health, and block attempts to restrict choice.

 

With our pro-choice political leaders and a strong grassroots constituency here in the Commonwealth, NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts have the power to make a real difference in people’s lives.

 

 

 

Ensuring a pro-choice majority in the state legislature is one of our top priorities. To do this, we identify and turn out pro-choice voters, train our members to work on campaigns, and produce a statewide Pro-Choice Voters’ Guide that rates candidates in all 200 state legislative districts.

 

Our members play an active role in promoting reproductive freedom. They contact legislators through our Choice Action Network (CAN) and lobby days, work with us to elect pro-choice leaders, host informational house parties, and conduct educational outreach events in their communities.

 

With the help of hundreds of volunteers, we promote public policies that increase access to abortion, birth control, emergency contraception, and comprehensive health education. We also work with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care providers to improve a woman’s ability to obtain to reproductive health care.

 

Our Campus Organizing Program and Internship Program involve high school and college students in pro-choice campaigns. Our Organizing Committee works to empower diverse communities to participate in our educational and political activities. And we maintain an active online presence to inform young people about the issues that most affect them.
