This is an exciting opportunity for students interested in working to further reproductive rights for the women of Massachusetts by directly engaging with our members and working on pro-choice political campaigns. Campaign/Outreach interns will play a key role in educating voters and mobilizing our members to get involved with pro-choice political campaigns and to vote for pro-choice candidates here in the Commonwealth. Interns will also have the opportunity to work on campaigns in Massachusetts. We are looking for candidates that possess the following: A commitment to reproductive rights and NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts mission Experience with campus, community, or political organizing A commitment to diversity Strong verbal and written communication skills An ability to work well independently and as part of a team A willingness to learn, flexibility and reliability Responsibilities: Interns will spend some of their time in target districts to assist the election efforts of state Representative and Senate candidates endorsed by NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts. Canvassing, phone banking for candidates Calling to identify pro-choice voters in Massachusetts Helping the campaigns with written and mailed communications Data entry and answering phones Help research, reserve, and be present at tabling events Assist in organizing and staffing pro-choice social and academic events in order to educate and recruit new members and volunteers Participating in orientations, activities, and enrichment opportunities with other interns and volunteers Other projects and tasks as needed Time Commitment/Compensation: Approximately 15 to 30 hours per week (flexible), but will include occasional nights and weekends.
