January 22, 2008 marked the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision which ruled that the Constitutional right to privacy includes access to safe, legal abortion care. In honor of this anniversary, NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts collected 35 personal stories from our members about why they are pro-choice. You can read these stories here.

Today my husband and I visited a women’s clinic in Hartford, CT. We are not from Hartford and didn't know of the protesters who gather outside these clinics. We also didn’t know of the wonderful group of escorts who help these women walk in at this extremelyvulnerable time. While I was disgusted at this group of tormentors, my faith in humanity was restored watching these young women guide other scared young women to see their doctor.
