Congress is poised to defund Planned Parenthood and shut down the nation's family-planning program, known as Title X.

The February 18 votes in the U.S. House of Representatives were the first step in wiping out funding to Planned Parenthood and cutting off family-planning services for millions of Americans nationwide. It means that women in your community could lose access to birth control, Pap smears, breast-cancer screenings, and many other types of preventive health care.
