Celebrating Roe
Roe v. Wade: Protecting Privacy, Preserving Choice Saturday, February 2, 2008 4:00 - 6:00 PM Amherst College Alumni House Amherst, MA This year, we were proud to welcome Rev. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale as our featured speaker. Katherine is the Executive Director of Political Research Associates (PRA), a progressive think-tank that conducts reseach on the political and Christian right, exposing the true goals and agendas of specific leaders, organizations and movements. Rev. Ragsdale is an Episcopal priest and advocate who served for 17 years (8 as chair) on the national board of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. She also serves on the board of NARAL Pro-Choice America, The White House Project, and The Center for the Prevention of Sexual and Domestic Violence. We were also delighted to honor our local providers in Western Massachusetts. As we celebrate the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, it is important that we take time to recognize those who are providing women with services and information that enable them to make healthy, safe, reproductive choices. Proceeds from this event benefited The Abortion Rights Fund of Western Massachusetts, NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts, and Tapestry Health. Thank you for supporting Roe v. Wade: Protecting Privacy, Preserving Choice. |
