Increase Access to Emergency Contraception
Help Increase Access to Emergency Contraception
Emergency Contraception (EC) is now over-the-counter for women and men ages 18 and older, but EC pharmacy access under the Massachusetts law is still in effect.
It allows trained pharmacists to offer expanded access to EC for women who are not eligible for over-the-counter access, including women under 18 or those without ID. EC pharmacy access only works if pharmacists participate.
It's easy! Here's how to help:
1. Download your Pharmacy Access Action Kit 2. Talk to your local pharmacist 3. Ask your pharmacist 3 questions outlined in the packet and give him/her the pharmacist education flyer. 4. Record the pharmacist's responses and use our online survey to report back to the Massachusetts EC Network. 5. Become a Campaign Team Leader.
