The 2015-2016 legislative session began January 1, 2015 and ended on July 31st, 2016. After our successes in passing two pro-choice bills in the previous legislative session and the 2014 elections, we had tremendous momentum. We retained a strong pro-choice majority in the State Senate and managed to fight to hold onto an 8 vote pro-choice majority in the House of Representatives.
NARAL focuses on advocating for bills that promote access to the full range of reproductive health care, including family planning and contraception, abortion care, healthy pregnancies, bearing healthy children, and raising healthy families.
